Intro to Coding – HTML & CSS

This 2 hour hands-on coding crash course will introduce you to the basic concepts of web development. The class will commence by covering some basic Internet principles before closely examining the structure of HTML and CSS code. You will then be given an opportunity to build and format your very own web page.

Class Details

This class will be held on Tuesday 13 February 2024, 6:30-8:30pm. It will be run at Waverley Library which is located at 32-48 Denison Street, Bondi Junction NSW. There is onsite parking available which is free for the first 2 hours. If commuting via public transport, the library is a short 5 minute walk from Bondi Junction train station and bus interchange. You must register to attend this workshop.

Prerequisites & Preparation

This is an introductory class so, therefore, no prior knowledge, experience or exposure to HTML/CSS code is required. Students should, however, be confident internet users with basic computer skills. Before attending this workshop please ensure that you have

  1. A fully charged and functioning laptop
  2. Brackets – open-source code editor installed
  3. Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome web browser
